THINGS TO KNOW

Purchasing is done at the Etsy Paper Minis storefront.  The purpose of this page is to give you a heads-up as to what still needs to be transferred to digital download format.

Each kit comes with a tutorial (if one is needed), or has one found at the on-line tutorial library.

If you don't know where to start printing your own wallpaper, you may find this link helpful.  Of course you can have a color copier center print for you.

You cannot gauge resolution or definition, size, or print quality of the designs from these on-line chips. The standard scale is 1:12--or 1" dollhouse scale. Of course, once you own the files you are free to downscale or upscale to your desire.

The pink and green color combination is my favorite combo! This collection is great for mix and match. Four of the designs are works of the great William Morris, and I added complimentary stripes, dots, and borders. Note: the chips in the photos might differ a little in color and scale due to how each screen handles color.

Medieval Collection 1: There are two sizes of the same border, which is made up of small Medieval illuminations of musicians. The field of stars on the cobalt blue sky is a detail of the Scrovegni Chapel ceiling in Padua, Italy. The field of stars is a full-page wallpaper.

Medieval Collection 2: The large castle flanked by two medieval cottages comes in 3 panels. If you need to crop panels, cut from top evenly first, bottom second. Crop sides from trees evenly at each panel. If you need to downsize, select a scale percentage from your printer dialogue box.

 

Medieval Collection 3: The Lady And The Unicorn, and The Unicorn In Captivity tapestries can be printed on fabric. FYI, a solid background colored border has been added for hem. There are three different sizes for each tapestry. Also included is a full page of millefleurs (French for "thousands of flowers") tapestry without figures and has a dark blue background. The perfect paper for a music room is the included full-page collage of medieval sheet music replete with illuminations.

Included with this collection are 24 front and back stained glass windows printables: 16 front and back windows for Houseworks #5051 Window, sash windows; 4 front and back windows for Houseworks #5040 single windows; and 4 octagonal front and back windows Houseworks #5045. Also included are the patterns for cutting acetate covers and instructions and photos for assembling the windows. As with all kits there is plenty of information on what types of paper to use and acetate types to use. The Houseworks website can be found here. I am not affiliated with Houseworks, I just understand the benefits of standardization. Nevertheless, I did put an extra black border around each in case you need to increase the size.

I especially love the retro style violets (with lily of the valley/violets border), and the William Morris design improved (I know, how can one improve William Morris?!)  by completely changing the color scheme to the lavender from a dead washed-out pinkish-brown. The lavender willow design is also a send-up of another William Morris with my own spin. I included (as I often do) stripes, borders, dots for anyone who likes to decorate splitting the wall at a chair rail. Having two patterns makes the room at hand much more interesting I feel.
