Perfume Tray

Required tools and supplies:

  • X-acto knife and fresh blade
  • A thin metal straight-edge ruler. Make fold lines by pressing against edge of the ruler.
  • Tweezers
  • Cutting mat
  • Detailing scissors
  • Fast-grab, quick-dry white craft glue that dries clear
  • Small piece of aluminum foil to use as a glue pot
  • Artist's paint brush to apply glue

1.  Cut out pieces and fold as shown. Notice there are three distinct panels for each of the for tray sides. Cut out the Tray's Clear Coat pattern. Tape -- on all four sides -- the pattern to the piece of clear acetate included with your kit.  Cut acetate piece.

2.  Paint glue to the three outer panels of the ends of the tray (the sides with the tabs). Press the blank sides together. Please note that the solid pink panel with glue to the blank surface of the tray's underside. Use a pair of tweezers to get a good thin bond.

3. Next, glue the four pink tabs to the blank surface of the opposite tray side. You should have the beginnings of a four-sided tray at this point.

4. Paint glue to the blank surface of the two remaining sides. Press with tweezers for nice thin bond. Remember that the solid pink panels will end up glued to the underside of the tray.

5. Glue the "Paper Minis" panel to the underside of the tray to give it strength.

6. Fit the acetate to your tray and slip it into the tray.
