Paper Minis Tutorial

f1is008a ~ Fireworks Set 1 Fireworks Fancy Sparklers Required tools and supplies: X-acto knife and fresh blade A thin metal straight-edge ruler. Make fold lines by pressing against edge of the ruler. Tweezers Cutting mat Detailing scissors Fast-grab, quick-dry white craft glue that dries clear Small piece of aluminum foil to use as a glue pot Small artist's paint brush to apply glue Magenta colored craft paint
	1. Paint the wood sticks that accompany the kit.
	2. Place the end of one of the tissue paper sheets about .5" down the end of a wood stick. Roll the complete length of tissue tightly. Repeat the following steps for all 8 fancy sparklers.
	3. Place a dot of glue to the end of the tissue and press against roll to hold roll securely.
	4. Place a dot of glue to the outside of the tissue roll about 1/8" above the bottom edge of tissue. Place the end of a fancy sparkler head on the glue. Wrap the head around the tissue roll to the end.
	5. Place a dot of glue to the blank inner surface of the end of the fancy sparkler head and press to secure roll.
	6. Clip the excess tissue roll off the end of the fancy sparkler--about 1/2" or so. Refer to the photo for visual guidance.
	7. Take the small detailing scissors and clip down the tissue tube in about three evenly spaced clips. This produces the long tissue fringe at the top of the fancy sparkler. Play with the ends in order to give the fringe some volume.
