1. Cut out all pieces and fold down the center lines. Use a glue stick or rubber cement to glue blank sides together.
If you are unsure of
yourself and want a practice piece first, merely
trace the unit on plain paper before cutting pieces.
Make a practice unit with the plain trace.
2. Stack inside page in order and sandwich between the front and back covers. Clamp with black office binder clips.
3./4. Use a “quick grab/dry” craft glue and slather a thick coat along the raw edges of the book spine. Allow to dry thoroughly.
5. Size the spine overlap piece. I make the overlap piece large on purpose to accommodate different thicknesses of paper that may be used.
6. Crease the spine overlap piece.
7. Carefully trim the spine overlap piece so as not to interfere with the cover art.
8. Use a glue that doesn’t set quickly and slather a coat to the blank side of the spine overlap piece. You may need to reposition the piece, that is why I suggest a slow setting glue.
9. Position and press the spine overlap piece into place. Allow book to dry thoroughly.

wrap-around spine book binding.
