1.
Cut out all pieces.
|

|
2.
Fan fold both page strips taking
care that the raw edges line up perfectly. Blank
sides—not printed sides—must always meet when
fan-folding. |

|
3.
Use the glue stick and press two lines of glue to
the length of one of the page strips. One line
should be applied to each edge of the length of the
strip.
|

|
4.
Carefully press the blank sides to the glue to make
4 two-sided pages. PRESS ONE PAGE AT A TIME. Repeat
steps on the other page strip. |

|
5.
Stack the two sets of pages on each other, with care
that the pages are in proper order when read as a
book. Clip the black binder clip to the “natural”
opening edge of the book. Use a piece of cardstock
under the clip's clamp edges to ensure that the
metal doesn't dent the book's pages.
Use the artist's brush
and slather a nice thick coat of quick-dry glue to
the spine edges of the book's pages. Allow to dry
thoroughly. |

|
6.
Take the book's cover and carefully fold the four
edges of the cover. You'll want to use your metal
straight-edge to start the creases to ensure
straightness. Make sure the corner diagonal seams
meet. This will demonstrate to you that the four
edge folds have been done properly.
|

|
7.
Glue the four edge folds in place using the
quick-dry glue and artist's brush to apply it.
Paint a nice thin layer of glue to the back cover's board
paper (the one with the copyright notice), taking
care to meet the glue to the edges of the piece.
Align and press the piece to the inside surface of
the cover's back. Repeat this step for the front
cover's board paper.
Position the
straight-edge against the fold line along one side
of the cover's spine, and then press the crease.
Repeat this step for the other side.
|

|
8.
Remove the clip for the stack of book pages.
Once again, paint a
layer of glue to the page stack's spine and press
carefully in place on the cover's spine area.
Don't exercise the cover until you are sure that the
glue is absolutely dry. Prop the book loosely
between two objects while it is drying. |

|
9. The final touch is
to add the dust jacket. Align the text on the dust
jacket's spine with the actual spine of the book and
hold in place. With your other hand, press a crease
along the dust jacket flap on front and back.
Release and then fold completely along the two edges
and finish the wrap. |
